Despite the commendable efforts of our government hospitals, health centres, and clinics in serving Malaysians, I remain puzzled as to why mandatory vaccinations for Hajj or overseas travel are frequently unavailable at these facilities. As a result, underprivileged groups are often forced to seek services from private clinics and hospitals, where the cost of medical check-ups, tests, and vaccinations is far beyond their means. This situation places an unnecessary financial burden on those who can least afford it. I believe the Ministry of Health should take proactive measures to ensure an adequate and consistent supply of mandatory vaccines at government healthcare facilities, so that access to essential preventive healthcare is equitable and affordable for all Malaysians.
